Data centre engineering across key stages of the project lifecycle

Data centre engineering across key stages of the project lifecycle

Data centres are the physical backbone of the digital economy, powering cloud services, artificial intelligence, and the systems that modern businesses and communities depend on.

In Australia, demand and investment are accelerating, with hyperscale operators, colocation, and AI-campus projects continuing to emerge.

Securing reliable power and water, navigating planning frameworks, managing environmental constraints and community concerns, and designing infrastructure that operates where reliability is critical, are complex challenges.

We work with data centre developers, operators, and investors across key stages of the project lifecycle. From early site feasibility and multi-site selection programs through to detailed design and construction phase services, we bring together a multidisciplinary team to help address those challenges.

Our approach

Our approach to technology and data centre developments

From feasibility to delivery

From feasibility to delivery

We work across key stages of the project lifecycle, from initial site feasibility and multi-site selection programs through to concept and detailed design to issued-for-construction documentation and support. Our repeatable design methodology also means that lessons learned on one site can inform the next, which may help identify efficiencies for future projects.
Our credentials

Our industry credentials

We bring the qualifications and experience relevant to complex data centre projects.

Site history and contamination risk

Site history and contamination risk

Data centres are frequently developed on brownfield sites with complex site histories - former industrial land or commercial precincts where contamination risk is a real consideration. Our preliminary and detailed site investigations are completed by appropriately certified Environmental Practitioner Site Contamination Specialists (CEnvP SC), certified under the Environment Institute of Australia and New Zealand (EIANZ) where required. This supports clients with the information to help assess site suitability early in the project.

Navigating planning pathways

Navigating planning pathways

We work within state and territory planning legislation across Australia. Our planning team has experience supporting development applications for complex technology infrastructure and industrial projects, including data centres, across multiple states.
